With a free license available for smaller firms, authoring on Windows and Mac and publishing on almost any platform (Win, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, Blackberry, Win Phone, Webplayer and consoles) this is a one-stop place for interactive projects.

Moreover, model import is straightforward (as long as you can convert your models to FBX or Collada preferably) and can be refreshed, as files are referenced.

Beware though that real interactivity requires scripting, which takes some efforts, but is very accessible in the end and support C#, JavaScript and a scripting language called "Boo".

And there is an integrated Asset Store for new models, scripts, projects, tutorials, extensions, …

Great tool to develop interactive realtime 3D experience, exports out to various platform, including flash, ios and android platform. Best method of importing 3D data is through FBX format.

An incredibly powerful game development software that's surprisingly easy for first-timers to pick up. Unity is fast becoming a go-to platform for architectural visualization with easy transfer from CAD/modeling tools like Revit and 3ds Max.
